Amsterdam, The Netherlands, but we have people all over the world writing for us. A very distributed company.
We write opinionated and original perspectives on remarkable developments in technology. Our focus is on developments around the world and for readers everywhere.
About 50 now.
I’m the CEO and co-founder.
As we were growing I started missing a tool that would allow me to look at all the projects we were managing. I sketched out what I was thinking about to my wife, and she said ’Thats a Gantt chart!’. So I googled that and then asked a bunch of entrepreneurs what they used. Several of them recommended TeamGantt so I checked that out and loved it right away.
TeamGantt is flexible enough to make it useful for different teams in different ways. Our developers use it to keep track of everything we do. I know PR uses it to plan things and our events team use it extensively for out event planning.
It allows me to quickly see what projects we are all working on. We are a technology company that develops a lot of our own stuff and sometimes it becomes hard to remember what we are all working on together. The general overview is great for me.
Yeah, I’m not too obsessed with deadlines and rather have things turn out really well and take more time, then rushing things out the door, so I love the fact that you can simply extend a deadline and all the dependencies follow along.
I once learned an important lesson from a more experienced entrepreneur. He told me you can fill your days with chores and tasks and replying to emails and not get much done. He told me to always think about the important goals you want to reach and make sure to at least get 3 small things and one big thing done every day. Having a personal project within TeamGantt, just for you, with your own goals and deadlines can be a great way to organize that.
