After many requests, it is now possible to easily see how many tasks someone has assigned to them on any given day.

And yes, this does factor in tasks that a person or resource is assigned to in other projects. This way you can be scheduling tasks for one project and easily see if someone is already assigned to something else for that day.

Tip: You can see all tasks for any one person or resource across all projects by simply clicking anywhere in their row inside the resource view.
Clicking a row in the availability view will popup a gantt chart view with just tasks assigned to that person or resource. It will include assigned tasks from any active project in which they are included.
Feel free to let us know any opinions or questions that you may have about this new feature in the comments below.
This is a great move. A Gantt Chart becomes a really useful project management tool if it can track resourcing (otherwise it is simply a chronological chart which has to be used with other tools and that becomes cumbersome).
However, what I would really like to see is the ability to assign a percentage of a resource to a task. What will follow is plot of resource against time from which can be seen really useful things such as; “John is really overloaded here – that’s never going to work”; “Engineering effort starts winding down to one person in Q2 next year”; “We will obviously need another programmer starting in January” etc. etc.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the feedback! We wanted to start with something basic and see what people thought. This at least provides a nice quick and easy way to see how many tasks are assigned to someone on a given day. We are trying to keep TeamGantt simple and lightweight, which is why we initially kept the percentage feature out. However, it is still something that we are considering for the future. Your feedback is definitely appreciated.
